We live and work within the Evenlode Valley, the 45 mile stretch of the river Evenlode which rises near Moreton-in-Marsh and flows south-east into the river Thames. Many of our designs are inspired by spending time walking, spotting wildlife, and surveying (and maintaining) wildflowers, by the meandering river. We've gathered these designs together for our "River collection" featured below.

In 2022 we were commissioned to design and make a public art piece, a bench, overlooking the natural floodplains and wetlands of the Evenlode Valley. An original concept by Genny, the willow leaf shaped corten steel bench measures 2.4 metres in length and features a local stretch of the winding river Evenlode and lines from the poem The Evenlode by Hillaire Beloc:

The tender Evenlode that makes
Her meadows hush to hear the sound
Of waters mingling in the brakes,

In January 2023, Tony wrote and published Stop all the Locks - A Poem about River Pollution and, later in the same year, we published our first book, River. A collaboration of Tony's mixed poetry and Kath Fotheringham's willow-charcoal drawings, the book also includes research into dialect, river habitats and the names of things.
